Welcome to the Friendliest Church in the Capital Region!
Our Sunday Morning services are casual, with worship music in a contemporary style and preaching through Pastor Michael drawn directly from the Bible. We have childcare available and an expanding kids' ministry. We offer Communion weekly, prayer meeting, and several midweek Bible studies and classes for believers and questioners alike. Grab a cup of coffee and a treat before service, or tea if that's your thing, and join us for worship, prayer, and instruction in an easy-going, relaxed and no-pressure atmosphere. We believe church should be an enjoyable, uplifting experience, and we hope it encourages you to develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, because we believe He holds the answer to our deepest longings.
We strive to be the kind of church described in the Bible, with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need.
We want to have a “contagious” Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time.
Whether you’re just starting to ask questions about God, or if you’ve been a follower of Jesus who wants to sink your roots even deeper, you can find a home here at Christ’s Church. You’ll find this is a place where you really matter, because you matter to God.
THE DETAILS:
We offer an adult Bible study “Sunday School” class at 9:15 ‘til about 10:15 am, followed by worship services.
Worship service starts with a hang-out time around 10:30, and music begins around 10:45. After singing, we have a teaching time followed by communion, and then a closing time of prayer, with more hang-out time to enjoy coffee, tea, and other refreshments. Typically we are done by 12 noon.
On the Second Sunday of every month, we offer our “Second Sunday Supper,” with a shared meal and more time to enjoy each other’s company and get to know each other in a more relaxed setting. Everyone is welcome!
On alternating Thursdays of every month we have Bible classes for adults at 6pm and Prayer meeting at 7pm. We also have small groups meeting both at the church and in the community throughout the week. Check out our Calendar Page for more information
Who We Are
Christ’s Church began in September, 1992 at the Egg, in downtown Albany, led by a team of pastors who envisioned an independent, Bible believing church in the Capital Region. Since that time Christ’s Church has grown and launched multiple daughter congregations and supported numerous ministries and charitable organizations within our community.
The church currently meets at 52 Corporate Circle, Suite 215 in Albany, in a place we’re affectionately calling, “The Upper Room.”
